Presently, an opportunity exists within our esteemed Research and Development (R&D) Team for a proficient and motivated Mechanical Drafter.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation of accurate 2D and 3D drawings, including:
    • high performance linear motor stages,
    • leading-edge precise mechanical assemblies,
    • industrial machine structures and enclosures,
    • custom parts to package optics and electronics into compact spaces,
    • opto-mechanical mounts to provide precise alignment, adjustment, and robustness.
  • Drafting of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems according to industry standards and project guidelines.
  • Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project objectives and specifications.
  • Collaborate with production on design for manufacturing.
  • Incorporating necessary dimensions, tolerances, and materials into drawings to ensure manufacturability and functionality.
  • Maintaining organized records of drawings and associated documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in mechanical drafting, engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Time management and prioritization skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
