R&D Application Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Application Engineer to support the integration, validation, and continuous improvement of our industrial inspection systems. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between customer needs and technical implementation, working closely with sales, service, and R&D teams to ensure the effective deployment and support of our solutions.

Please note: This role is primarily on-site, and travel requirements are minimal to none.

• Customer Requirements & Collaboration
  Work alongside sales, service, and application teams to gather and understand detailed customer requirements and ensure solutions meet their inspection objectives.
• System Installation & Integration
  Support service engineers during the installation and configuration of inspection systems, ensuring proper integration into customer environments and smooth operation.
• Training & Enablement
  Deliver hands-on training sessions and workshops for internal teams (application and service engineers), maintenance, and troubleshooting of inspection systems and software.
• Technical Support
  Provide responsive and effective remote technical support, assisting in issue diagnosis and resolution. Collaborate with internal experts to solve complex technical problems.
• Feature Testing & Validation
  Validate new features and functionalities, reporting findings and insights to the development team.
• Continuous Improvement & Feedback
  Act as a key feedback loop between the field and R&D. Identify opportunities for product improvement based on real-world usage and customer interaction.
• Technical Documentation
  Create and maintain clear, user-focused documentation, including user manuals, guides, and troubleshooting materials.
• Test Planning & Execution
  Work with development teams to understand project goals and contribute to test plan creation, test execution, and bug reporting, focusing on functionality, usability, and performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Experience in the inspection industry or with vision systems, automation, or measurement technologies is a strong advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset, with the ability to propose practical and innovative solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and a passion for continuous improvement.
